Man has not always been alone in his world. When he arrived, an upstart youth in an already burgeoning realm, the Others welcomed him. Like a weed, though, he encroached upon unspoken boundaries, took what he pleased, and left much in ruin.  Instead of fighting, the Others retreated behind an enchanted wall and set watch keepers to mind the borders.

 

Aderyn is one such Tower Keeper. And the battles of Man have finally reached her gates in the form of Owen, an ex-soldier from the City. Keeping her heart safe from his kindness is impossible. Loving him is inevitable. Losing him is inconceivable.

 

But the encroachment continues and it is only a matter of time before more soldiers assail her boundary. To defend her gates and the man she loves, Aderyn will unleash a fearful apparition with the power to decimate armies. And in the midst of such bloodshed, she will find that a mere man can possess magic and further, bear the heart and true sight of her kind.
